About Me

Dr Peter Ikhianosimhe Imoesi is a trained Molecular Neuroscientist and currently a Research Fellow at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry - Second Class (Hons) Upper Division from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria. Shortly after graduation he served the country under the National Youth Service Corps and his primary place of assignment was the Zenith Bank Plc. At the end of his service year - 2009, he proceeded to Globacom Limited a leading telecommunications in Nigeria and Africa. Based on his burning desire for academics he resigned from Globacom after two years and proceed to England for a self-funded Master of Science degree programme at the University of Hertfordshire. Based on his academic dexterity, he bagged the prestigious degree in Molecular Biology with a Distinction. At the end of his studies in England he returned back to Nigeria where he lectured at Samuel Adegboyega University, Ogwa, Edo State, Nigeria. While at the University he constantly sort for PhD scholarship across the globe. Based on his academic credentials, he applied for the highly competitive University of Aberdeen Elphinstone PhD scholarship. After series of interviews, he was awarded the prestigious Elphinstone PhD scholarship to study for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Sciences (Translational Neuroscience with specialty in Molecular Neuroscience) from 2016 - 2019.
